Five children honored with iconic LEGO® shower
Nanne (5), James (7), Alina (8), Pippa (8), Sterre (8) and Christiaan (9) are the lucky winners of LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Scheveningen's Kids Crew election. Today the special selection day took place where 12 talented LEGO® builders competed against each other in two different building rounds. Master Model Builder Jamie-Lee Verhoeff awarded six children as new members of the Kids Crew based on creativity, insight and presentation. This was celebrated with a real LEGO® shower. The children will be part of the Kids Crew for a year during which they will work with Jamie-Lee to inspire other children to be creative with LEGO®. In addition, they get to help with tricky builds and attend events at the indoor attraction. For more information, visit: www.legolanddiscoverycentre.nl
Master Model Builder Jamie-Lee Verhoeff is looking forward to continue building with the new members of the Kids Crew for the coming year: "What a fun, but also exciting day it was. All the selected builders are all very talented, which made the choice extra difficult. Completely focused, the children went to work on the buildings and I watched with admiration what they managed to put together in a short time. I am happy with the arrival of Nanne, James, Alina, Pippa, Sterre and Christiaan and together we are going to make a great year of it. Who knows, you might spot them in the attraction soon, because their minifigure will be in MINILAND!"

Children from all over the Netherlands signed up to win a spot on the Kids Crew at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Scheveningen. Today, in two rounds of construction, the kids let their creativity run wild, made their own minifigure and got a unique behind-the-scenes look. Here, among other things, they learned more about how the millions of bricks are cleaned. After all, there is more to running an indoor attraction. This also underscores the importance that children's ideas are indispensable for designing a children's attraction from the experience of the target group. And that it is possible to turn your hobby, in this case building with LEGO®, into your job.
